1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Qumra ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Qumra is a screen recording application that allows you to:

  • Record your screen and camera on macOS (desktop application)
  • Host and share recordings via shareable links
  • AI-powered transcription, captions, and summaries (Premium)
  • Video editing capabilities (Premium)
  • View and engagement analytics
  • Comments and reactions on shared videos

3. Subscription Plans

Free Plan

  • Maximum recording duration: 5 minutes per recording
  • Maximum recordings: 30
  • Basic video hosting and sharing
  • AI features not included

Premium Plan

  • Unlimited recording duration
  • Unlimited recordings
  • Full AI transcription, captions, titles, and summaries
  • Video editing capabilities
  • 7-day free trial available

4. User Accounts

To use Qumra, you must create an account using email, Google, or Apple sign-in. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us of any unauthorized use of your account

5. Content Ownership and Rights

You retain ownership of all recordings and content you create using Qumra. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

You are solely responsible for the content you record and share. You represent that you have all necessary rights to record and share such content.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Record or share content that infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Record or share illegal, harmful, or offensive content
  • Attempt to bypass subscription plan limits
  • Use the Service for spam, phishing, or other malicious purposes
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Share content that violates the privacy of others

7. Content Sharing and Comments

Recordings shared via links are accessible to anyone with the link. The Service allows:

  • Anonymous and authenticated comments on shared videos
  • Emoji reactions from viewers
  • Video owners can delete any comments on their recordings

8. Payment Terms

Premium subscriptions are billed through Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate billing information
  • Automatic renewal unless cancelled before the billing period ends
  • Stripe's terms of service for payment processing

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period.

9. Copyright and DMCA

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on Qumra infringes your copyright, please contact us at dmca@qumra.io with:

  • A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
  • The URL of the infringing content
  • Your contact information
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate

10. AI Features Disclaimer

Premium AI features (transcription, summaries, titles, chapters) are provided using third-party AI services. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors. You should review AI-generated content before relying on it.

11. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may:

  • Perform maintenance that may temporarily affect access
  • Modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice
  • Experience outages due to third-party dependencies

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, QUMRA AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination:

  • Your recordings will be deleted
  • Your subscription will be cancelled
  • You will lose access to the Service

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
